Risør Sveis og Montering AS (henceforth RSM) have throughout the last 2 years been through a significant change. The board adopted a two-part plan where the first part was mainly executed in 2014. The second part of the plan which has been worked on since May 2015 includes changes which will become visible to our customers, collaborating partners and suppliers.

RSM will change its name, establish a group structure and split the company with effect from 1. January 2016.

Change of name

RSM achieves an export rate of approximately 50% in 2015, in addition our most important collaborating partners and suppliers being localized in Southern Europe. The name Risør Sveis og Montering AS is not a suitable name for markets outside Norway and does no longer reflect our business.

We are therefore changing name to RSM with under titles for respective business areas.

New group structure and splitting of the company

Today’s Risør Sveis og Montering Holdning AS changes name to RSM Group AS and become an active parent company. RSM Group AS which owns today’s RSM 100% will get 3 subsidiary companies.

Today’s RSM changes name to RSM Contract AS, the workshop will be transferred into a new company which will be named RSM Production AS and all gas activities except new building projects will be transferred into a new company which will be named RSM Gas Services AS.

The company Risør Sveis og Montering Eiendom AS where RSM Group AS will have a share stake of 73% will change its name to RSM Property AS.

RSM Contract AS will carry on today’s RSM activities with the exception of the business which will be transferred into RSM Production AS and RSM Gas Services AS. The company will have the same registration number as today’s RSM and the change are therefore only a name change. The company will as earlier be a supplier of engineering services, district heating plants, biomass/solid fuel plants, plants for bulk material handling and components and services to energy recycling plants.

RSM Production AS will be a pure manufacturing company.

RSM Gas Services AS business area will be accredited controls, tank revisions as well as service and maintenance of LPG plants. The company will deliver services to the professional and private market.
